About Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Pokémon Legends: Arceus released in January 2022 for Nintendo Switch and reimagined the Sinnoh region as ancient Hisui, a prequel set centuries before the mainline games, with real-time monster catching replacing random encounters. The Hisui Pokédex spans 242 species including regional variants like Hisuian Growlithe, Voltorb and Zorua, plus brand-new Pokémon such as Wyrdeer, Kleavor, Basculegion and the mythical Arceus itself. Browse every Hisuian Pokémon below in any of nine languages, filter by type, and tap a Pokémon for its names across languages.
Frequently asked questions
How many Pokémon are in Pokémon Legends: Arceus?
The Hisui Pokédex covers 242 species, including new Pokémon, Hisuian regional variants, and many species later found in Sinnoh.
What are the starter Pokémon in Legends: Arceus?
Rowlet (Grass/Flying), Cyndaquil (Fire) and Oshawott (Water), borrowed from Generations 7, 2 and 5. Their final evolutions are unique Hisuian forms: Hisuian Decidueye, Hisuian Typhlosion and Hisuian Samurott.
What new Pokémon were introduced in Legends: Arceus?
Notable Generation 8.5 additions include Wyrdeer (evolves from Stantler), Kleavor (a Hisuian Scyther evolution), Basculegion, Sneasler, Overqwil and Enamorus, plus several Hisuian regional forms.
What are Hisuian regional variants?
Pre-Sinnoh-era forms of older Pokémon adapted to the cold mountain biome. Examples include Hisuian Growlithe / Arcanine (Fire/Rock), Hisuian Voltorb / Electrode (Electric/Grass), Hisuian Zorua / Zoroark (Normal/Ghost), Hisuian Braviary, Hisuian Avalugg and Hisuian Lilligant.
Can I transfer Pokémon between Legends: Arceus and other games?
Yes, via Pokémon HOME. Hisuian forms can be sent to Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl, Sword/Shield and Scarlet/Violet where the species and forms are supported.
